This seemingly simple deck had a small twist. It was on a rubber roof that sloped away from the building. We used treated 4x6 posts for the deck joists so we could taper the height from 1-1/2” and one end to 5” at the other. Afterwards, we used a marine grade coating on the lumber to provide an extra layer of longevity to the project and help enhance the curb appeal.
