The customer wanted to build a covered roof to replace an older pergola style roof that had been slowly deteriorating for years. We supported the weight of the roof with a double 2x12 beam spanning 6’ on center between porch posts. We installed new rafters at 16” on center, OSB decking, and covered with 30 year architectural shingles
